Covid Testing

As restrictions are changing some companies are requiring passengers to get certain tests before being allowed to travel. As these tests are not provided by the NHS, Whitewater Health (by patient request) have decided to offer the following Covid tests privately.

COVID-19 -PCR | The Doctors Laboratory (tdlpathology.com)

Covid-19 IgG Antibody Test. - £75.00

COVID-19 Antibody | The Doctors Laboratory (tdlpathology.com)

The samples are taken in the surgery and then sent for testing by The Doctors Laboratory. Results are typically received 3-5 working days from when the sample was taken.

If you require one of these tests please book an appointment with one of our Health Care Assistants. Please note that payment will need to be taken at the time of booking either at the counter or over the phone. Payments can be made by cash, card of cheque.

FAQs

Will the service and care be as good as my local hospital?

Our contract with the NHS requires us to meet clear standards of clinical excellence that all NHS hearing providers must work to, meaning you will receive the same, if not better services as you would at your local hospital. We are proud to say that 98% of our patients said they would recommend our services to a friend or family member.

What happens after I am fitted with my hearing aids?

Our dedicated customer service team will arrange regular reviews after your hearing aids are fitted. We understand that getting used to your hearing aids could take some time so we will keep in close contact to make sure you are getting the most out of your hearing aids. Also feel free to pop in if you have any concerns.

Will my hearing aids cost me anything?

No, the hearing aids and continuous supply of batteries are all funded by the NHS.

I thought I could only get NHS hearing aids from hospital?

New legislation means that in some areas, following a referral by your GP, you are able to choose from a selection of accredited providers in your area.
